Different Races
Since the Civil Rights Movement, people from different races have rallied and unified in force to try and stop racism that was prevalent throughout the United States. The fight for equal rights is still going on in the present, except society has been much more accepting and tolerant of other races.
However, though society has been more aware of these issues socially, there still is a prevalence of a socioeconomic gap between the different races and what opportunities the different groups are able to receive. Such opportunities include such fundamental in today’s technological era of having access to the internet.
In a new era we currently live in where the use of technology is essential in order to succeed, the ability to have access to the internet could be seen as a measuring tool on how successful this individual can become in the future. Through the use of the internet, all the information imaginable can be obtained through just a touch of a finger.
However, even though humans have evolved their knowledge on every aspect, barriers are still present that prevent certain types of people from gaining access to the internet. Specifically, there is a correlation between the different races, economic status, and the use of the internet. By studying specific races, such as Whites, Blacks, and even Native Americans, one can see how these correlations were able to be concluded.
With the different socioeconomic groups associated with the different races, one could see the reasons for the President enacting an Executive Order to make it so that Federal employment opportunity and education is possible without the discrimination because of race, color, religion, sex or national origin through giving every race a chance to be accepted.
