Different Races - White
As Caucasians have been in the United States since the birth of the country, they have been able to settle down and hold their position for generations after generations. With having early access to gain ownership of the free land available, they were able to hold down their fort and currently still do.
Just by looking at statistics, we can see that Caucasians have an overwhelming amount of support and ownership of many different organizations across the nation. In 2002, the Census Bureau found that 83% of non-internet broadcasting firms and 90% of public radio stations were owned by Whites. This overwhelming amount of ownership in the entertainment industry is a miniature representation of the jobs and businesses in the United States.
In terms of the internet, 77% of online content creators and 84% of internet service providers, web search portals, and data processing services were created and owned by Whites. Even online, Whites have ownership of just about every part of the internet.
With such success in ownership of businesses along with the internet, this could be seen as a large correlation between race and socioeconomic status. It could be assumed that with families being in the United States for generations, the wealth was passed down as well, so that the majority of Caucasian descents have the opportunity to gain access to resources that could aid them in the success of their future, illustrated by ownership of businesses.
However, we can see a significant difference in ownership of businesses and internet domains in minority groups such as Blacks and Native Americans.
