Different Races - Native American
Though Native Americans had ownership of America before the Caucasians were able to discover it, they drove off the Native Americans into land that was designated as undesirable. By being driven off and not having even the materials to survive, Native Americans grew up even poorer than the other minorities that immigrated to the United States at a later time.
Even in present time, the land that was selected for Native Americans were chosen as prisons, thus resources are still scarce. In a technological era where telephone landlines are considered an obvious resource, Native Americans still do not have access to this, let alone having decent internet connection. Without these resources in the present era, it could be seen as almost futile to try and compete among other people.
With internet projects popping up in Native American reservations, the chiefs of the tribe worry about the impact of the internet on tribal cultural knowledge. While advancement is very critical in order for Native Americans to survive, barriers are popping up everywhere that hinders their improvement.
When looking at business ownership of the different race and ethnicity, throughout the different types of organizations available, Native Americans do not even own 1% of any section. It is not surprising that they cannot have business ownership with the extremely limited amount of resources available to them with even the fundamental of a telephone line in today’s era.
In having these limited resources available, the government has tried to help in having an equal playing field with others who were more fortunate through series of laws.
